Monsters in Our Blood
A young girl’s growing up. A mother uncertain what to make of her curious daughter. A pastor who thinks he’s doing the right thing. Four forgotten goddesses. When the seven meet in an idyllic American town, a remembering occurs that will forever alter each of their lives. Presented in ten chronological vignettes, “Monsters…” explores what it means to be woman in a world designed for men.

Co-written with Renoir Kobashi, Best Time to Be Alive is a science fiction musical surrounding reclamation of identity, gender disparity, and the war between head and heart. When Silas is offered a chance to right his past wrongs, he must choose between bettering the world or saving the love of his life. In doing so, he may just figure out who he actually is.

Manic Pixie Dream Goes to Brunch
Manic Pixie Dream Girl, Seductress, GBF, and Gamer Boy have been best friends since high school. They’ve stayed in their niches, in character, for as long as they can remember. When Manic Pixie Dream Girl breaks archetype and falls for a jock, their world implodes. It may be for the better. A short play designed for Zoom formatting, “Manic Pixie Dream Girl…” explores the harm and insanity of media archetypes and why they must be turned on their heads.
Winner, Susan J. Westfall Short Play Contest 2024
